Dr. Yun Yan is a Pediatric Endocrinologist and the Director of Endocrine Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Program at Children’s Mercy Kansas City, and a clinical professor of Pediatrics at the UMKC School of Medicine. Dr. Yan is a member of Pediatric Endocrine Society Special Interest Group of Obesity and she actively participates in the education and research activities nationally. Dr. Yan’s research interests include identifying risk factors and biomarkers that can be used for early diagnosis and intervention of insulin resistance syndrome, type 2 diabetes and comorbidities.
